Carving Ski Length

Determine Carving Ski Length
Downhill skiing is fun! Carving skis are maybe the most popular alpine skis. Making turns is easy with carving skis, and these skis are suitable for all types of skiers, including beginners.

Let us help you determine your carving ski length below...

How to Determine Classic Ski Length?

By Height Measurement:
Body height is used to determine your carving ski length. Stand with your back against a wall and your feet together. Look staight forward. Place a book or a ruler on the top of your head and push it against the wall (make sure it is horizontal). Measure distance from the floor and up to the book/ruler, etc. Determine your carving ski length from our ski length chart below.

In the store:
If picking up your skis in a physical store, place one of the skis in front of you, with the tip pointing against your face. The ski tip should reach about your nose tip. But everything from your chin area to your eyebrows are ok. Pick shorter skis if you are a beginner (closer to your chin) and longer skis if you prefer long turns and high speed (closer to you eyebrows).
